What people say: What people do

Moa Ek came to Macquarie on exchange for Semester 2 2007. At the end of her six months here, Moa felt she wasn't ready to go home. She has been working at Macquarie as a research assistant and has seen more of Australia than most Australians.

So tell me more ...

In 2006, six Australian universities and three European universities formed an alliance to enable their students to experience a semester of study at one of the other partner universities.

As a student of environmental studies or sustainability at one of these universities you are automatically eligible to apply to complete six months of your coursework at a partner university – and get paid while you’re there!

You must be involved in a degree that is structured around a core of subjects relating to environmental science, environmental management or sustainable development. Select another university in the partnership at which you will complete a full semester of study. Within the program, you will have to complete one specified unit in sustainable development from either your own university or your exchange university. Other than that, you can select other subjects from a wide range of choices to meet your specific needs and interests.
