What people say

All the experiences I have had in the last months will stay forever in my life and the friendships I developed will surely last for a long time. So I can just say the exchange here in Australia at Macquarie University was the best time in my life I ever had! - Harald Fragner, visiting MQ from BOKU

So tell me more ...

In 2006, six Australian universities and three European universities formed an alliance to enable their students to experience a semester of study at one of the other partner universities.

As a student of environmental studies or sustainability at one of these universities you are automatically eligible to apply to complete six months of your coursework at a partner university – and get paid while you’re there!

You must be involved in a degree that is structured around a core of subjects relating to environmental science, environmental management or sustainable development. Select another university in the partnership at which you will complete a full semester of study. Within the program, you will have to complete one specified unit in sustainable development from either your own university or your exchange university. Other than that, you can select other subjects from a wide range of choices to meet your specific needs and interests.

Australia Welcome to Australia!

We have many wonderful students arriving from BOKU and UEA for Australia’s Semester 1 in 2008. A very warm welcome to you all. We hope you have a great learning experience at the universities you are visiting. And make sure you take time to visit some of Australia’s amazing cities, beaches and the outback, of course.

And farewell to our Australian students

Griffith and Macquarie are sending students to UEA and BOKU. Have a terrific time in Europe. We hope to hear back from you to let us know how you’re going. And we would like to hear about some of the trips you make while you’re there – even if you do make us jealous!
